The Role

Working Monday & Tuesday with your choice of third and fourth day, this permanent part time position is busy and challenging. Your day will consist of:

  • Processing the weekly payroll accurately and on time (fulltime, part time & casuals) for approximately 400 staff
  •  Trouble shooting, problem solving and resolving payroll errors and reconciliations
  • Processing new hires and terminations
  • Answering payroll related queries
  • General reconciliations and reporting
  • Establishing effective, professional working relationships with high standards of customer service

What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced payroll officer with a genuine desire to work in a part time capacity.  You will be a proactive thinker with an extremely high attention to detail. Your exceptional communication and commitment to providing the highest levels of service to your internal customers is essential to your ongoing success in this position. Your willingness to be a friendly, approachable and cooperative team member will be well regarded and valued. In addition we are seeking:

  • Solid end-to end payroll experience in a high volume and fast paced environment
  • Experienced user of Micropay / Meridian software
  • Experience in awards and EBAs interpretation combined with current knowledge of superannuation and PAYG
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite including spreadsheet management in excel
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills
